If you clicked this blog, you are probably new to the “lace” world. Well, Queen, we are here to help you become an expert. Lace products are used to give the allusion of a natural hairline while protecting your natural hair underneath. No more flat ironing that leave-out and causes damage. Lace products help you to go from that long wavy look in the winter to a short bob in the summer without cutting your hair. So let’s learn about the different types of lace
Types of Lace
As a Queen, you have the option to pick between transparent and HD lace for your wigs or closure/frontals. Transparent lace is thicker and more durable while HD lace is very fine and fragile, but it gives a more blended and natural look.
Instantly you are thinking you want the HD lace with no question asked right?
Although HD gives a more natural invisible lace, it does not last as long and must be replaced more often.
If you are trying to figure out which one is better, it’s all up to your preference. Each lace type has its perks. You just must be knowledgeable to make sure you make the best choice for yourself.
Frontal or closure?
So now let’s decide whether a frontal or closure is best for you.
The main thing to remember is that closures require less maintenance, but they have less coverage, so you are limited with your part. You can offset your closure and place it slightly to the right or left to give yourself a deeper side part and they are perfect for middle parts.
Frontals cover the entire length of your hairline. Queen Melanin Extension’s frontals reach back towards the apex of the head 4 inches. 13x4 frontals are good if you like your hair full and thick because it allows you to add 2-4 bundles to your install or wig with this frontal. Although frontals give your free range with your hairline, it does require daily maintenance. Although there are glueless wigs- they are usually customized for a perfect fit. Frontal wigs and installs usually include adding adhesive, Got2Be Glue, or hairspray, and laying the edges of the lace down with a scarf or edge wrap frequently. Queens usually love frontals because the natural look is very addictive although it is very high maintenance.
So, is lace for you?
Every Queen should try it at least once. Why? Because although we love the natural look, it is very important to protect your natural hair. Having a leave out causes damage to your hair from the heat that is applied daily.
We also want you to keep up with the trends with the beauty industry constantly changing.
Lace is very high in demand, but the supply is low. When you see these products are in stock act fast because they will not last long. They are rarely on sale due to the low supply.
